DescriptionFiberglass hockey-style catcher's mask with a red exterior and a white "St.L" logo decal on the front. There is a St. Louis Cardinals logo (cardinal on bat) on both sides. Front has gray vinyl-coated metal bars and a blue decal with an MLB logo at the chin. Back of the crown has manufacturer labels on silver foil decals. Fiberglass plate for back of the head protection is connected to the mask with black vinyl straps. Red "Cardinals" decal is on the center of the plate. Interior of the mask has tan leather padding at the chin and black foam padding for the head, lined with black micro-fleece. An MLB Authentication hologram sticker is affixed on the lower right side of the chin.
Bio/Historical NoteHockey-style catcher's mask worn by Yadier Molina of the St. Louis Cardinals during the 2006 season and World Series. Wearing this mask, Molina secured the final out of the 2006 World Series, a strikeout of Detroit's Brandon Inge, and began a celebration of the club's first World Championship in nearly a quarter century.
