Bio/Historical NoteBaseball used by Johnny Vander Meer of the Cincinnati Reds for his second consecutive no-hitter on June 15, 1938. Vander Meer is the only pitcher in baseball history to throw two back-to-back no-hitters. The Reds defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers 6-0 at Ebbets Field.
