61* prop shirt

DescriptionOff-white short-sleeved shirt, size 42, with navy blue pinstripes and six white buttons down the front placket. Proper left front chest has "NY" in navy blue applique and reverse has "61" in navy blue applique. There is a manufacturer label, "AIS," on the interior back of the shirt near the proper left side seam. This label also has washing instructions.

Bio/Historical NoteShirt from the 2001 HBO film "61*", which recounts the Roger Maris-Mickey Mantle home run chase of 1961.
