Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Gary Sanchez of the New York Yankees on August 25, 2017 against the Seattle Mariners with "Kraken" as the name on the back. This was the first day of MLB's inaugural "Players Weekend" from August 25-27, in which players were allowed to wear jerseys featuring nicknames. This is also believed to be the first time a Yankees uniform has included a name on the back. These jerseys also feature a "Thank You" sleeve patch, under which the name "Sarah" is written, likely referring to his daughter.
