Bio/Historical NoteFirst-pitched baseball from the Championship Game of the 2017 Caribbean Series. It was taken out of play after Mexico's starting pitcher, Hector Velazquez threw a swinging strike. The Caribbean Series, or Serie del Caribe, is an annual postseason tournament between the champions of the Caribbean winter leagues. Puerto Rico's Criollos de Caguas won over Mexico's Aguilas de Mexicali, 1-0, in extra innings on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Estadio Tomateros to give the island its first Caribbean Series title in almost two decades.
