DescriptionSmall fuzzy stuffed animal depicting The Famous San Diego Chicken. Head is yellow with an orange beak, blue comb, purple hooded eyes and plastic eyeballs. Arms are red, blue and yellow with white fingers. Torso has a blue shirt with "The Famous SD Chicken" on the front. Shorts are red and the feet are yellow. There is a small manufacturer tag attached to the proper left foot, "TFC, Inc., TM1995 / San Diego, CA / All Rights Reserved / Reg. No. Pa-2273 (RC) / Made in China."
Bio/Historical NoteThe San Diego Chicken, also known as The Famous Chicken, the KGB Chicken or just The Chicken, is an advertising mascot played by Ted Giannoulas. The character originated as an animated TV commercial for KGB-FM Radio in San Diego in 1974.
