DescriptionWooden bat, 31.5 ounces, with natural stain handle and knob and black painted barrel and taper. There is a white "M / Marucci / Bone Rubbed" logo in the center of the barrel and "Handcrafted For / Matt Carpenter / DW5-M Pro Model" in white lettering near the end of the barrel. There is an MLB Authentication hologram sticker near the barrel end. Knob end has "05/29/18 / 13 / 3 5 / 1 5" inscribed. Handle is wrapped with white Lizard Skin tape. Barrel end tip is cupped.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Matt Carpenter in the Cardinals' 18-5 win at the Cubs on July 20, 2018. Carpenter went 5-for-5 with two doubles, three home runs and seven RBI, all before being replaced in the lineup after his 6th-inning homer. Carpenter became the first player ever to record 5 extra-base hits in the first 6 innings of a major league game. For Carpenter, this was the 4th game of a 6-game streak with at least 1 home run spanning July 14-21, a stretch that surrounded the All-Star break. He totaled 8 homers in those 6 games.
