DescriptionA black-and-white 3/4 length photograph of Bobby Grich, Brooks Robinson, and Mark Belanger standing in a dugout. Each wears a Baltimore Orioles alternate uniform. Grich, left, shown from the knees up, leaning to his right, stands with both arms down by his sides. He wears a glove on his left hand. Looking to his left, Grich directs his gaze to Robinson. Robinson, center, also shown from the knees up, stands with both hands raised face height on either side of his head. He also wears a glove on his left hand. Leaning forward, Robinson directs his gaze to a point in the distance and to the left of the camera. Belanger, right, shown from the waist up, stands with both arms down by his sides. He turns his head to his left, looking downwards. Visible behind these players is an occupied dugout and stadium. A caption above the photograph (not shown), typed in black ink, reads, "(BA2)BALTIMORE,MD.,SEPT. 29--LAST TRICK--Brooks Robinson,longtime outstanding third baseman of the Baltimore Orioles, heads for the field for the start of what could be his last game at home in a Baltimore uniform. He shows surprise, because his teammates played a tick and let him run from the dugout alone. At the left is Oriole Bobby Grich and at the right is Mark Belanger. 76." Pasted on the reverse (not shown) is a newspaper clipping that reads, "SURPRISE: Brooks Robinson (centre) was caught un-aware by his teammates last night who all let him run onto the field by himself as the fans in Baltimore gave the veteran third baseman a standing ovation. Robinson, for many years judged to be the best at his position in baseball, rewarded Baltimore fans by hitting a single." Stamped on this clipping (not shown), in blue ink, is the date, "SEP 30 1976."
