DescriptionA 1964 Willie Mays talking baseball card, produced by Auravision, a branch of Columbia Records. The audio produced by the talking baseball record is Mays giving tips on how to hit and field. He also gives advice to Little League players. The front of the card has a partial picture of Mays dressed in a San Francisco Giants home uniform sitting on the dugout steps with his hands and glove in front of him. He sits in front of a baseball field, surrounded with a green border. Text in the upper corner reads "33 1/3 RPM." His signature is on the middle right side above his shoulder and below the Sports Record, Inc. logo, which is in the upper right. The back is black font on a white background with red borders. The top half contains instructions on how to play the record, a print of a head and shoulders photograph of Mays, and "The Willie Mays Story." The bottom half contains Mays' "Baseball History", which contains his statistics.
Bio/Historical NoteTo listen to the card, the user would punch the small circle out of the center of the record and lay it flat on any record player. This record is part of a complete set of 16 talking baseball card records.
