DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat, 30 ounces, with "Adirondack 302" in the center of the barrel and "Big Stick / Willie Mays (facsimile signature) / Flame Treated" near the end of the barrel. There is a brass plaque on the barrel reading "To commemorate the 600th HR of Willie Mays, 391 feet, Spt. 22, 1969, San Diego California."
Bio/Historical NoteCommemorative bat celebrating Willie Mays' 600th home run on September 22, 1969. Mays became the second player to hit 600 career home runs, joining Babe Ruth. Mays was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
