Jeremiah Paprocki microphone

Date2021
DescriptionBlack metal gooseneck microphone with a silver-colored grill and "Shure / SM58" repeated in gray lettering along the base. There is a small silver-colored metal button at the bottom of the microphone where the microphone attaches to the grooved black metal stem. This stem attaches to a circular port on the top of the mounting base . There is a small silver-colored metal button with "Push" engraved on it if one wanted to disconnect the stem from the base. "Sennheiser" is in white lettering on the top of the base, below the port where the stem connects. Beneath this manufacturer name is a rectangular button with a white logo meant to convey a person speaking. Outlining this button is a gray area which probably would light up when the button is pushed. Bottom of the base has a black rubber cushion and there is manufacturer product information in white lettering. There is also a small toggle button that one can use to turn the microphone on and off.
Bio/Historical NoteMicrophone used by Chicago Cubs’ 21-year-old public address announcer Jeremiah Paprocki during the 2021 season. This season, Paprocki became the Cubs’ first Black public address announcer and the youngest individual ever to serve the club in that role.
