The caption (not shown) reads "Forgetting contract worries, Ruth starts smacking them down the fairways immediately following his arrival at St. Petersburg, Fla." Ruth appears to be post swing and looking to see where his ball landed. There are two unidentified people visible in the background. The stamp on the back of this photograph states it was "filed Jan 16 1930", which suggests it was taken around them.
