DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of children outside the hospital. The caption (not shown) reads " With heavy hearts, youngsters turn to look at Memorial Hospital, Aug. 11, as they pass the building in which Babe Ruth lies in critical condition. The 53-year-old Sultan of Swat, ill for nearly two years, developed pulmonary complications after contracting a cold." Twelve children are pictured looking up and there are four adults in the background at the top of the stairs.
