BiographyJimmy Burke played for the Cleveland Spiders of the National League (1898), St. Louis of the National League (1899, 1903-1905, known as Perfectos 1899, then Cardinals 1900- ), Milwaukee Brewers of the American League (1901), Chicago White Stockings of the American League (1901), and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1901-1902). After his playing career, Burke managed in the minor leagues, coached for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, managed the Cardinals (1905), and managed the St. Louis Browns (1918-1920).
