BiographyTom Loftus played for the St. Louis Brown Stockings of the National League (1877) and the St. Louis Browns of the American Association (1883). After his playing career, Loftus managed in the minor leagues, was a minor league executive, managed the Milwaukee Cream Citys of the Union Association (1884), Cleveland Blues of the American Association (1888), Cleveland Spiders of the National League (1889), Cincinnati Reds (1890-1891), Chicago Orphans of the National League (1900-1901), and the Washington Senators of the American League (1902-1903).
