BiographyOyster Burns played and pitched for the Wilmington Quicksteps of the Union Association (1884), Baltimore Orioles of the American Association (1884-1885, 1887-1888), Brooklyn of the American Association (1888-1889, known as Trolley-Dodgers 1884-1888, then Bridegrooms 1889), Brooklyn Bridegrooms of the National League (1890-1895), and the New York Giants (1895). After his playing career, Burns served as an umpire in the National League (1895 & 1899).
