Slater Corporation is a family business that produces imprinted custom t-shirts, apparel, promotional products, buttons, corporate merchandise and giveaways for businesses and organizations, locally, nationally and globally...Founded in 1936 by Nathaniel George Slater as a specialist in "Lithographed Metal Advertising Buttons and Tabs", the button business boomed in the 30s and 40s. One of Slater's first major clients was the federal government, which ordered buttons supporting the National Recovery Act and war bonds. The 1950's and 1960's brought space race buttons and civil rights buttons, with the company supplying both the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Black Panthers.
