BiographyTony Lucadello was a shortstop in the Minor Leagues for two years. "Lucadello's real claim to fame was as a scout who worked for the Chicago Cubs (1942-1954) and the Philadelphia Phillies (1955-1989). He is credited with signing fifty players who made it to the major leagues. He was their scout in the upper midwest, primarily scouting Ohio and Indiana. He also scouted Ontario and Michigan. Among his signees are two Hall of Famers, Mike Schmidt and Ferguson Jenkins both for Philadelphia. He also signed Mike Marshall, Toby Harrah, Alex Johnson, and Jim Brosnan." -- Baseball Reference.
