BiographyClarence "Soup" Campbell was an outfielder and pinch hitter in the Major Leagues in 1940 and 1941. "He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 2, 1942, missing the 1942-1945 seasons. Campbell returned to play for the Baltimore Orioles (IL) in 1946-1947. He hit .321 with 10 triples for New Orleans in 1939 and managed in the minors in 1952 at Lexington."--Baseball-Reference.com.
