BiographyRen Mulford was the sports editor for the Cincinnati Post when left to work for the Cincinnati Enquirer in 1890. There he covered all the Cincinnati Reds baseball games and with his writing coined the original phrase for the folks in attendance as ‘Baseball Fans'. In 1911, he also was Sporting Life's Cincinnati main correspondent for all professional sports events until he retired to work for an advertising agency.--findagrave.com.
