BiographyBoom-Boom Beck pitched for the St. Louis Browns of the American League (1924, 1927-1928), the Brooklyn Dodgers (1933-1934), the Philadelphia Phillies (1939-1943), the Detroit Tigers (1944), the Cincinnati Reds (1945), and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1945). He was a major and minor league pitching coach, a minor league manager, and a scout.
