DescriptionA Chicago White Sox World Series program dated 1906. This is probably game 4, played on October 12, with the Chicago Cubs winning 1-0. The scorecard is scored with typed rosters. The front cover has a red background at the top and bottom with white lettering. The top reads "Official Score Book, Chicago White Stockings, price 5 cents." The bottom reads "Read The Daily News Illustrated Sporting Extra Every Evening." The center has a white background with illustrations of a catcher's mask and glove, and crossed baseball bats and baseballs. In the center is a head-and-shoulders image of shortstop George Davis. The back cover has an advertisement for Peptomalt.
