DescriptionA black-and-white glass plate negative of Chicago White Sox manager Lew Fonseca, left, captured chatting with St. Louis Browns manager Rogers Hornsby while unidentified baseball players practice on the field at Comiskey Park. Fonseca has his arms crossed at he looks at Hornsby and his baseball glove in tucked in his pants pocket. Hornsby is looking at Fonseca and with his right arm resting against the batter's cage. Fonseca is dressed in the Chicago White Sox home uniform whereas Hornsby is dressed in the St. Louis Browns road uniform. Comiskey Park stadium is visible in the background. Based on Fonseca and Hornsby uniforms and their time with their respective teams this negative was taken between 1933 and 1935.
