DescriptionA black-and-white glass plate negative of Philadelphia Athletics first baseman Jimmie Foxx captured in profile while up at bat during a game at Comiskey Park. Foxx has a look of determination as he swings his bat across home plate and his right foot twists in the dirt in the batter's box. He is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. Comiskey Park stadium is visible in the background. Based on Foxx's uniform and his time with the Philadelphia Athletics this negative was taken between 1931 and 1935.
