DescriptionA black-and-white glass plate negative of Philadelphia Athletics first baseman Jimmie Foxx captured in profile while at bat during a game at Comiskey Park. Foxx has a strained expression on his face as he swings his baseball bat. The baseball bat is out in front of him. Foxx is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. There are several unidentified baseball fans in the stadium seating at Comiskey Park in the background. Based on Foxx's uniform and his time with the Philadelphia Athletics this negative was taken between 1931 and 1935.
