Letter from Walter R. Littell to Alexander Cleland

Date1935 June 07
DescriptionA typed letter from Walter R. Littell to Alexander Cleland dated June 7, 1935. Littell writes to Cleland to update him on the local news. He sends him a newspaper clipping which gets the "birth of the game" mixed up with the first league game or first game of some organization. He continues, "Evers seems to have both ideas mixed up together," perhaps referring to Johnny Evers. Another story has Ken Root's as the leader of the baseball centennial but assures him it was in error. He writes that the museum is able to start any time and the directors of the Doubleday Field organization has elected him as the executive secretary. It is signed "W. R. Littell." The verso (not shown) is blank.
