Note from Honus Wagner to Alexander Cleland

DescriptionA handwritten note from Honus Wagner to Alexander Cleland, undated, but probably from February of 1937 based on Cleland's original request letter. The top reads "Semi-Pro Baseball". Below and to the left it reads "Office of Commissioner" and to the right it reads "National Semi-Pro Baseball Congress." Wagner writes and tells Cleland that he "will mail him some thing to add to your relics in the Base Ball Museum." It is signed "J. Honus Wagner, Pirates." The verso (not shown) is blank.

Bio/Historical NoteHonus Wagner was the commissioner for this organization for several years while coaching for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
