DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Lou Gehrig with over twenty children playing a game of sandlot baseball. Gehrig jokingly listens to two children at home plate as they discuss their strategy against the Yankees slugger. He holds a bat in his hand behind them while the rest of the children stand to the side by the batting fence. Based on research, it is likely that this photo of Gehrig was taken in 1927.
