DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Honus Wagner's statue likely captured on the day of the unveiling. The statue is captured from the side. The top section of the statue is of Wagner, who is sculpted after completing a swing at bat. The bottom half of the statue is rectangular and the side of it that is visible shows two young boys. One boy is pointing up to the sculpture of Wagner with his other arm placed around the shoulders of the second boy. The second boy is holding a baseball in one hand and a bat in the other while looking up at the sculpture of Wagner in awe. In the background are unidentified people and to the left of the base of the statue of a cloth, most likely used in the unveiling. Based on the history of the statue, this photograph was likely taken in 1955.
