DescriptionNew York Giants 1933 World Series champions ring that was presented to Commissioner Kenesaw Landis. The ring is made of a silver-colored metal and has a clear stone set within a black oval. Embossed lettering surrounds the stone, "19 / World's / 33 / Champions." Decorative designs along both sides of ring include crossed bats and a ball with laurel leaves. "New York" is embossed on one side and "Giants" on the other.
Bio/Historical NoteThe New York Giants defeated the Washington Senators four games to one to win the 1933 World Series. Kenesaw Mountain Landis was the first Commissioner of Baseball and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1944.
