DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Blanche McGraw, wife of the late John McGraw, and Horace Stoneham, once owner of the San Francisco Giants, captured sitting in the back seat of a convertible as they arrive at San Francisco. Stoneham has his arm around McGraw's shoulders and has a broad smile. McGraw is smiling as she holds her hands together as she rides in the parade. A newspaper clipping affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) reads, "Lovely day for a parade: Horace Stoneham, Giants' owner, and Mrs. John McGraw, widow of the famed Giant manager, are really enjoying the team's royal welcome in San Francisco yesterday. Giants open in their new home today against Los Angeles Dodgers." This photograph was taken in approximately 1958 when the Giants moved to San Francisco.
