DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott and Carl Hubbell standing next to one another in front of the Polo Grounds in New York City. Ott, left, has a smirk on his face as he looks out of the corner of his eyes to the right and holds a baseball bat up against his right shoulder. Hubbell, right, is standing slightly hunched with a straight face and has his baseball glove on his left hand. Both Ott and Hubbell are dressed in New York Giants home uniforms. Several unidentified gentlemen are visible in the stands in the background. Based on Ott and Hubbell's uniforms, their time with the team, and a date stamped on the reverse (not shown), this photograph was probably taken in 1933.
