Bio/Historical NoteBaseball used in the last inning of the final game of the 1906 World Series on October 14, 1906. The 1906 World Series featured the Chicago White Sox versus the Chicago Cubs at South Side Park in Chicago. The White Sox beat the Cubs 8-3 to win the Series 4 games to 2. The 1906 Series was the first to be contested between two teams from the same city. The names on the ball were friends of Mordecai Brown who were in a Box Seat for the game.
