DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulders photograph of Mel Ott. Ott has his lips pursed and his eyebrows furrowed. Ott is looking off to the left and is wearing a New York Giants baseball cap. A newspaper clipping is attached to the back of the photograph and states, "Mel Ott, veteran outfielder who succeeds Bill Terry as as manager of a New York Giants, says he'll be seen out in right field during quite a few of the coming season's games. Mel has his boys training in the hot Florida sun. 3/17/42." Based on the newspaper clipping, this photograph was probably taken in 1942.
