Dolph Camilli negative
Dateprobably 1940
DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Dolph Camilli captured at first base after catching the ball and preparing to make his throw. Camilli has the baseball in his glove and is bringing his left hand to grab the baseball. His right foot is slightly lifted off the ground. Camilli has a look of concentration on his face and the brim of his baseball hat casts a shadow over the upper half of his face. He is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. An unidentified Brooklyn Dodgers second baseman is captured jogging towards first base. Ebbets Field is in the background. Advertisements line the lower wall of the stadium. Based on Camilli's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
