Depicted in 3/4 profile, Comiskey angles his left shoulder away from the camera. Comiskey looks to his left, with his head in full profile. Based on the blank background and the flat lighting of the photograph, this image was captured in a professional photography studio. A caption below the image (not shown), handwritten in black ink, reads, "CHARLES ALBERT COMISKEY - (1859 - 1931)." Pieces of tape can be seen in the upper and lower left corners of the photograph. There exists two additional copies of this photograph with the same cropping, but each lacks any trace of tape.
