DescriptionThe scorecard is from a Boston Beaneaters vs. Buffalo Bisons game on October 7, 1884 at Olympic Park I in Buffalo, New York. The game was won by Boston by a score of 7 to 3. The scorecard is printed in black ink and filled out with pencil. The scorecard has advertisements for Thurstone & Co.'s Great Drug House, Chase & Comstock, Genesee, Michigan Central railroad, West Shore railroad, Dennis' Natatorium Swimming School, and Altman & Co., Clothiers. At the bottom are the league standings. The front cover is a color image of a pitcher twisting his body backward just before throwing a pitch. The caption underneath reads "Where will you have it." The back cover has a color image of a catcher standing behind home plate with his legs wide apart and wearing a catcher's mask. Behind the catcher is an umpire in a top hat and a blue suit. The caption underneath reads "The Mascot, 'Let it come over the plate.'"
