DescriptionBuffalo Bisons Official Scorecard, 1884. The scorecard is from a Providence Grays vs. Buffalo Bisons game on July 9, 1884 at Olympic Park in Buffalo, New York. The game was won by Buffalo by a score of 5 to 1. The scorecard was printed with black ink and has not been filled out. The Providence side of the score card has advertisements for Michigan Central, West Shore Route Railroad, Dennis' Natatorium and the league standings. The Buffalo side of the scorecard and the front cover are missing. The back cover shows a color image of game action at Olympic Park from the center field perspective. The caption underneath reads "Olympic Park, Buffalo, N.Y. Size of Grounds: 350 x 608. Seating Capacity: Open Stands, 1884. Grand Stand, 1764. Total, 3748." The back cover has a surface tear on the image above the grandstand where part of a pennant can be seen.
