DescriptionBrooklyn Grooms Official Scorecard, 1893. The scorecard is from a Chicago Colts vs. Brooklyn Grooms game on June 10, 1893 at Eastern Park in Brooklyn, New York. The game was won by Brooklyn by a score of 4 to 2. The scorecard is printed in blue and black ink and is filled out with pencil. The scorecard includes advertisements for Baldwin Clothier, Sporting Life, Crawford Shoe Stores, Frank R. Thomas Men's Furnisher, Pennsylvania Rail Road, and Royal Blue Line Trains. The front cover is printed with purple and gold ink There is a baseball collage that includes a large baseball, baseball bats, a glove, a catcher's mask, a base and palm leaves. The cover reads "Official Score Card Brooklyn Base Ball Club" and "Eastern Park 1893." The back cover is printed with blue and gold ink. It has an advertisement for The Morning Chronicle with pictures of Beecher's Statue at City Hall, and the Brooklyn Bridge.
