DescriptionBrooklyn Grooms Official Scorecard, 1891. The scorecard is from a Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Brooklyn Grooms game in 1891 played at Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn New York. It appears that Brooklyn won the game by a score of 2 to 0, but no matching game for that year can be found. The scorecard was filled out using pencil. The scorecard opens horizontally, and has a yellow holding the binding together. Above the scorecard is an advertisement for Baldwin, the Clothier, and below is another advertisement for Adam's Tuti Frutti. The front cover has a black and white baseball design with laurel leaves and in red ink it reads "price 5 ct. Brooklyn Base Ball Club Eastern Park" The back cover has an advertisement for A.G. Spalding & Bros.
