Rusty Staub Pinch-Hit Record bat

DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat, 35 ounces, with "Worth / Model 500T / Tennessee Thumper" in the center of the barrel and "Hand Crafted / Rusty-Staub / Model" near the end of the barrel. Taper has two black painted stripes and round silver sticker, "Swing / C-2 / Weight." Knob end has "10" handwritten in black ink and "R S 4 W227" branded into the wood. Barrel end tip has "10" handwritten in red ink.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Rusty Staub of the New York Mets when he tied the major league record with eight consecutive pinch-hits on June 6, 1983 versus the Philadelphia Phillies at Shea Stadium. Staub singled, leading off the bottom of the 9th inning for his 8th hit, tying Dave Philley's 1958 record.
