DescriptionA pencil and ink illustration by Don Hesse, titled "Portrait of a Champ," dated September 29, 1982. It's a profile drawing of a head, with the outline being the names of the St. Louis Cardinals 25-man roster. A ballcap sits on top of the head which has the Cardinals logo. The Cardinals clinched their division and were moving on to the National League Championship. The top left has the drawing title and the bottom right is signed by the artist, with St. Louis Globe-Democrat written under his name, followed by the date. The verso (not shown) is blank.
