Letter from Sandy Koufax to Victor Lapiner

DescriptionA letter and check dated January 26, 1972 sent from Sandy Koufax to Vic Lapiner, regarding a bet. In 1971, Lapiner bet Koufax $5 that he would be elected to the Hall of Fame on the first ballot the following year. The letter is handwritten and signed by Koufax. The check is made out to Victor Lapiner and signed by Koufax using black ink. The back of the check has not been endorsed. There is also newspaper clipping (not shown) explaining the bet is also included.
