DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of the cover of the souvenir score card from the Chicago Colleens vs Springfield Sallies games of July 16 and 17, 1950. There are seven Springfield Sallies players drawn on the cover performing various actions found in the game - catcher Jacqueline "Jackie" Mattson Baumgart, Shirley "Hustle" Burkovich batting, Joanne "Jo" McComb catching, Mary Louise Kolanko running, Fern Battaglia throwing, Mary Moore throwing the ball from base, and Betty Jane "Curly" Cornett fielding the ball. The drawings surround a baseball labelled "Girls Baseball." The bottom left corner of the card has a home plate with the words "Souvenir score card, 2 games, Sunday, July 16th - 2:30 P.M., Monday, July 17th - 8:00 P.M., 1950" written inside it. The words "Chicago Colleens vs. Springfield Sallies sponsored by The Scranton Times, net proceeds to the Community Chest" appear in the bottom right corner.
