DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Lefty Grove, left, and Jimmie Foxx, right, captured sitting in the dugout together. Grove is looking forward with a serious expression on his face, his left leg is crossed over his right leg and his has his left hand extended up next to his face, his thumb touching his nose. Foxx is looking over his right shoulder with a smirk on his face. Another Red Sox player, who is unidentified, is visible in the background of the photograph. Based on Grove and Foxx's uniforms, their respective time with the Red Sox, and a date stamped on the reverse (not shown), this photograph was probably taken in 1938.
