DescriptionOrange, red, yellow and white striped v-neck uniform shirt, size 43, with "Astros" across the front chest in dark blue and a large dark blue star on the lower proper left front portion. Top quarter of the shirt is white with blue edging around the neck while the lower three-quarters of the shirt is striped. Reverse of the shirt has "Niekro" and "36" in dark blue lettering. Proper left front bottom has manufacturer labels, "WA Goodman & Sons / 43," with washing instructions. "36" is handwritten in faded marker on this label.

Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Joe Niekro of the Houston Astros during the 1983 season. With the color scheme evoking the affectionate term "tequila sunrise," the Astros made this radical change to their jerseys in 1975. The team used this pattern for over a decade.
