Pete Rose 4000th Career Hit bat

DescriptionNatural stain wooden bat with a "Mizuno / Since 1906 / Japan" trademark logo in the center of the barrel and "Pete Rose (facsimile signature) / Montreal / Expos 1984" near the end of the barrel. The handle is taped at intervals up until the taper. "14" and "6" are handwritten in black ink on the end of the knob.

Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Pete Rose of the Montreal Expos to record his 4,000th career hit on April 13, 1984 at Olympic Stadium against the Philadelphia Phillies. Rose doubled in the fourth inning off Jerry Koosman of the Philadelphia Phillies. Rose become only the second player in major league history to reach the 4,000 career hits. The Expos defeated the Phillies 5-1.
