Use Two If Necessary postcard

Date1908 June 08
DescriptionA Morgan Stationary 'Red Belt' postcard titled "Use Two If Necessary." This is one of a 12-card set produced in 1907, hand tinted, each wearing a red belt. The front has an image of Hans Lobert of the Cincinnati Reds, holding two baseball bats on a baseball field. The verso has a note written from Oxford, Ohio by "Henry" which is to "Dear Friend." He goes on to write that he heard he [Frank Scofield] was back in the game. He tells his friend that he has been playing on the regular team. He's played every game and only won one. He gives his best wishes to all and writes that he must work quite hard. He signs it "Write soon, Henry [surname ineligible]." To the right, is a one cent stamp, postmarked from Oxford, Ohio, June 8, 1908, 1PM and addressed to "Mr. Frank Scofield, Florida, Ohio."
