DescriptionBlack painted wooden bat, 33 ounces, with "Louisville Slugger / Powerized" in the center of the barrel in silver and "Genuine R161 / Marquis Grissom / Cleveland Indians" in silver lettering near the end of the barrel. Knob end has "17" and "R161" handwritten in silver ink. Barrel tip also has some faded and illegible lettering in silver ink.

Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Marquis Grissom of the Cleveland Indians during the 1997 World Series from October 18th through October 26th when he extended his World Series hitting streak to 15 games. This mark was two shy of Hank Bauer's record set from 1956 to 1958.
