Rene Tosoni All-Star Futures Game bat

DescriptionBlack painted wooden bat, 30.5 ounces, with silver inscribed lettering, including "Louisville Slugger / Powerized" in the center of the barrel and "Genuine C271 / Rene Tosoni / Minnesota Twins" near the end of the barrel. Underside of the barrel has "TPX" and an MLB logo in silver. Knob end is marked "6/12/2009 33.5 / 30.5 oz" and has "RT" handwritten in silver ink. Barrel end is cupped and stained black. There is an MLB Authentication hologram sticker near the end of the barrel, to the right of "Tosoni."
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Rene Tosoni of the New Britain Rock Cats, a Minnesota Twins' double A affiliate, during the 2009 Futures Game played in St. Louis on July 12, 2009. Tosoni played in the Futures Game as part of the World Team and won MVP honors for his pinch-hit, two-RBI double in the sixth inning, breaking the 5-5 tie. The World Team took the game from the USA Team, 7-5.
